In this phase of the relocation process, the
intricacies of identifying, color-coding and tagging all company
inventory, including furnishings, equipment and contents,
are successfully completed. Floor plans are created and file
and library drawings rendered. This type of thorough preparation
expedites the physical move and, thus, substantially reduces
costs.
By this point in the project, our team has set
up and staffed Relocation Centers at each affected location.
From these information hubs, client staff is kept apprized
of relocation progress and its effect on them. Once the physical
move is underway, the Relocation Center at the destination
facility becomes the operational 24-hour Command Center throughout
move activities. Assuming full responsibility for coordination
and management of the move process, the Meehan team supervises
daily labor and move activity, ensuring integration of all
activities performed by service vendors and moving carriers.
New furniture deliveries and installation, along with materials
deliveries, are carefully monitored and coordinated.
Throughout these proceedings, our team furnishes
daily reports on activities performed and tasks completed
at both the original and destination locations. We analyze
and compare actual events and costs against the official project
schedule and project budget on an ongoing basis, assuring
completion by moving carriers, vendors and any other suppliers
precisely as planned and budgeted. Moreover, we actively pursue
any opportunity to minimize expenses and pass any savings
directly on to our client.
