The Meehan Consulting Group understands that long-range strategic planning, expedient move management, thorough asset inventory and effective document management solutions are all essential to the successful execution of a relocation project. While these services address the processes, properties and possessions involved in a corporate move, we also realize it is imperative to service a client’s most valuable asset – its personnel.

A relocation can be disruptive, not only physically but psychologically. At Meehan, we work hard to minimize the impact of uprooting, moving and resettling people. Confusion and frustration among staff is guaranteed to result in decreased productivity. So, we recognize it as our mandate to keep all stakeholders informed and up-to-date on move activities.

Project communications begins at the onset of the pre-move consulting phase. After a thorough research process involving interviews with the client’s executive committee members, department managers, relocation project team and representatives of company personnel, we formulate a comprehensive plan for project communications that speaks to the client’s human resource issues. Our objective is to ensure that productivity is maintained throughout all phases of the relocation process by addressing employee concerns and furnishing them with all necessary information.

Our project communications services encompass interfacing with the client’s project team on an ongoing basis; creating and chairing a project meeting agenda for move coordinators; establishing Relocation Centers, which serve as headquarters for immediate information at each affected location; publishing a series of newsletters focusing on involving, updating and reassuring employees on move-related issues; issuing Relocation Manuals for each department; assisting the client’s public relations and human resource personnel in the development of announcements, in-house newsletters and welcome packages; and conducting packing and tagging instructional seminars for complete staff.

An effective project communications program is essential to keeping company personnel informed, motivated and mobilized to assist in the relocation process.
